HPPodcraft

hppodcraft-mastheadIf you’re a fan of H.P. Lovecraft and other writers of weird fiction, then you must check out the HPPodcraft literary podcast. Each week, co-hosts Chris Lackey and Chad Fifer wallop the dust off a classic tale of terror by such authors as Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur Machen, Robert Louis Stevenson, Ambrose Bierce, and, of course, our man, Howard Phillips!

Each episode is typically self-contained, focusing on a particular story, although novellas and full-length novels sometimes stretch over two or even three episodes. In addition to rescuing some fantastic writings from near obscurity, Chris and Chad also hold informative, entertaining, and often very funny discussions about the authors and the circumstances under which they created these dark, literary gems. The stories themselves are also given a wonderfully spooky treatment by a cast of extremely talented guest readers!

Their weekly episodes are now subscription-based, but they still offer a free episode each month, so you can try before you buy. You can also check out their archive of more HP-centric episodes from the past few years, not to mention their full-length film, The Call of Cthulhu, and their recent graphic novel, Deadbeats!
